A Once in a Lifetime Opportunity KarmaQuest's Wintertime Quests for the Snow Leopard have added nine more Westerners to the few dozen foreigners who have seen a snow leopard in the wild. Inquire NOW! about the 2011 Winter Quest and we'll try our best to make you the tenth person!

Summertime Quest for the Snow Leopard and the Ancient Buddhist Culture of Ladakh ---- Trip dates: July 5 to 22, and August 24 to September 10, 2010. A trip to benefit the snow leopard, and the Ladakhi people who conserve its habitat.
KarmaQuest has teamed up with the Snow Leopard Conservancy and Ladakhi partners in ecotourism to offer this eco-trek through snow leopard country in Ladakh, India. Your visit will help encourage local farmers to protect these endangered wild cats, generate income for their children's education and create seasonal jobs in these remote mountain villages. In addition to the wildlife-viewing trek, you'll experience the rich culture and traditions of Ladakh, in village homes and at some of the best preserved Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the world. Some were built in the 10th century and still actively functioning today.

Nepal is back on travelers' radar, and KarmaQuest's decades of experience in Nepal enable us to offer unique travel experiences that also help disadvantaged Nepalis. Our "Cultures, Arts and Wonders of Nepal Benefiting Paropakar Orphans (October 2010)" takes you to some of our favorite spots around the Kathmandu and Pokhara Valleys, including several World Heritage Sites, and on a mountain flight for a bird's eye view of Mt. Everest. A highlight of the trip is a visit to Paropakar Orphanage in Kathmandu. KarmaQuest has a long-standing relationship with Paropakar and Virtue’s Children Nepal, a charitable organization that will oversee the delivery of your generous educational scholarship funds to the neediest children at Paropakar. Your donation will support and educate an orphan or blind child in school for one year. Sign up soon for the trip, as space is limited.

TWO IN ONE! "A Festival and Eco-Tour of Bhutan" (November 7-17, 2010) and "An Invitation to Sikkim: A Cultural Tour and Home Visit with KarmaQuest" (November 18-30, 2010). Schedule the two trips back to back and save 10%!

The Bhutan and Sikkim trips can be undertaken seperately, or scheduled back-to-back. A drive across the north India plains connects the two destinations. In Bhutan, enjoy two "tshechus" (Buddhist ritual dance festivals) and a community festival that celebrates the Black Necked Crane, an endangered bird that is honored and protected by the people of Phobjikha Valley.

In Sikkim, KarmaQuest invites you on “a day in the life” experience hosted by KarmaQuest owner and native Sikkimese Karma Lama. You’ll be treated as honored family guests as you travel across this sacred and pristine landscape, staying with farming families and dining on home-grown organic produce. You’ll learn from village leaders about efforts to conserve their cultural heritage and natural environment, assisted by a local NGO (ECOSS) and through a UNESCO program that KarmaQuest's Wendy Lama advised.
