TWO IN ONE! "A
Festival and Eco-Tour of Bhutan" (November 7-17, 2010)
and "An
Invitation to Sikkim: A Cultural Tour and Home Visit with KarmaQuest"
(November 18-30, 2010). Schedule the two trips back to back and
save 10%!
The Bhutan and Sikkim trips can be undertaken seperately, or scheduled
back-to-back. A drive across the north India plains connects the
two destinations. In Bhutan, enjoy two "tshechus" (Buddhist
ritual dance festivals) and a community festival that celebrates
the Black Necked Crane, an endangered bird that is honored
and protected by the people of Phobjikha Valley.
In Sikkim, KarmaQuest invites you on “a day in the life” experience hosted by KarmaQuest owner and native Sikkimese Karma Lama. You’ll be treated as honored family guests as you travel across this sacred and pristine landscape, staying with farming families and dining on home-grown organic produce. You’ll learn from village leaders about efforts to conserve their cultural heritage and natural environment, assisted by a local NGO (ECOSS) and through a UNESCO program that KarmaQuest's Wendy Lama advised.
